The agreement that our Bill of Rights is out dated and needs to be re-written or abandoned is a ridiculous argument. The Bill of Rights was written specifically to limit government abuses on the people. Most everyone that has issues with the Bill of Rights are gun-control advocates and they will always argue that the founding fathers never intended for the people to carry rocket launchers or some other form of military hardware. Unfortunately for them that is exactly what they intended.
Our founding fathers were very concerned about government powers over the people, they did not want the government to be more powerful than the people, hence the Second Amendment. Every one of the first Ten Amendments was written specifically to limit government power with the Second Amendment being the doomsday provision for when the government goes off the reservation. So the next time a gun-control advocate tells you the Second Amendment is dated and needs to be rewritten or abolished you can tell them it’s still very much relevant. If fact it may be more relevant today than it was when it was written.

Reenacting the France Terror Attacks
Recently a Texas pro-gun group ran several simulations of the events that took place during the terrorist attacks to see if armed victims (Good guy with guy) could have made a difference. The first article (see below) mentioned that all but one simulation showed all victims would have died but they do not elaborate on the one. They simply ignore and never mention it again. I find it odd that they do not go into details about the one simulation but it’s all good. The article also fails to mention how many simulations were run.
The second article (see below) goes into more detail about the simulations and is a much better article on the Texas pro-gun group’s simulations.
Even if ALL simulations failed to change the outcome the major point of this exercise was missed. If I’m going to die I would rather die fighting for my life rather than beg for it. Being armed doesn’t mean you’re invincible, it just means you’ll go down fighting
I have no idea how anti-gun advocates think
The other day I read an article that was so far from the truth I figured it was a joke, maybe April’s Fools. Nope. It was one authors spin on guns in American and how the carnage in France would have been much worse if the radical Islamic terrorist would have hit here in United States. The author somehow thinks law abiding American’s who carry guns and ARMED police officers would have made the situation worse. You know… it would have for the cowardly terrorist who attacked unarmed civilians. But of course that’s not what the author was claiming. In his mind he truly believes the innocent death toll would have been much higher!
Let’s for one moment imagine the horrific attacks in France took place here in the United States. Our police are ARMED! Many of our citizens are ARMED. Three French police officers ran for their lives because they were unarmed and unable to stop the terrorist. Even if none of the victims in the office were armed the situation would probably have ended on the street when three ARMED police officers confronted them.
I then decided to address my concerns in the comments area of the article and was instantly attacked from all sides. They swarmed in like a pack of wild dogs. My attackers even compared pro-2A advocates to the terrorist. Unbelievable!
I have no idea how anti-gun advocates think. I’ve been giving them too much credit and thinking they were reasonable and rational thinking people. My bad. They go through life with blinders and hate everyone and everything associated with firearms. They preach they only want common-sense gun laws but unlike them I realize people with no common-sense cannot develop these laws. If anyone approaches you about common-sense gun laws know straight up they want a complete ban on firearms. They will not be happy until every red-blooded American is dis-armed and a defenseless victim.
As we approach mid-term elections
As we approach mid-term elections we find ourselves on the front lines defending our way of life, freedoms and liberties. Our nation has fallen into dark times. Our nation can not survive another two years with the status quo. Do you remember all the speeches about CHANGE. Here’s some of the changes we’ve seen:
- Our veterans have been forgotten by the same people that sent them into harms way!
- Our flag can no longer be flown in some cities!
- We’re racist, terrorist or extremist if we do not agree with our leaders and politicians!
- The IRS targeting Americans!
- Illegals are treated better than Americans, better than our veterans!
- Our children are being suspended from school for food shaped into guns or playing with toys in their front yards!
- Our government is spying and collecting data on us!
- Our politicians and leaders promote race riots!
- Every single right we have is under attack!
These are just a few of the changes we’ve seen. Can we afford any more? I think NOT!
On Tuesday, November 4 vote for your nation and not a party! We are Americans!
I have a day job
I have a day job and I’ve put my life and soul into it for 13 years. I’ve taken work on every vacation our family has taken. I mention this because I just went through my yearly performance evaluation and I did pretty good if I can say so myself, which leads me to this: The American people just gave DC their performance evaluation last Tuesday and they didn’t do so hot! They failed on everything they have done over the past 6 years, then they decided to blame everything on the people that just evaluated them! That’s right, we’re the reason they failed. We successfully sent many packing but not the managers. The people making the big mistakes are still employed and have decided to ignore our job performance warnings. It was made clear that POTUS could and would work with Congress only if they let him have his way. What the hell, we’re now running the country as if we’re in 5th grade? How can we possibly move forward when we continue to go back?
It’s Friday and the weekend
It’s Friday and the weekend is finally here, its been one wild roller coaster ride! We at Patriots Rising do not support any given party but rather candidates that support our freedoms and way of life. After the mid-term elections it appears that they are safe for at least two years. We thank everyone that voted. Together we sent a message loud and clear that we’re Americans and this is our country. Tuesday is Veteran’s Day! Thank a Vet for protecting our FREEDOM!
It’s the day before midterm elections
It’s the day before midterm elections and everyone seems to be talking about the Republicans taking control. I do not believe it’s Democrats against Republicans but rather candidates against candidates. The candidate that represents the people will win this year; the loyal party lines have been erased and if this comes to pass I believe the American people will send a clear message to Washington DC. What they do with that message will clearly be up to them. Many of the candidates running this year are everyday Americans that have stood up and said enough is enough. If you are a career politician who has forgotten that you are a elected representatives, a public servant and that you work for the people, the writing is on the wall………

Millions are spent on gun control
Millions are spent on gun control initiatives every year and there are so many other ways that this money could benefit our country; food and shelter for our homeless, lower cost for higher education or training to educate on gun safety, and these are only a few! One man alone has spent over 50 million trying to strip our rights from us. Guns do save lives! We know this and so do the gun control advocates but they will never admit it! In my opinion the Pro-gun community needs to focus on educating the individuals in the middle of the debate, this is where we can win the fight for our rights.
Several months ago I had a conversation with a co-worker that really had no opinion on the subject but added he really did not understand why normal citizens needed military weapons. I asked if he was referring to the black rifle with a pistol grip that’s always shown on news reports. He said “yes, that’s the one”. I then told him that the rifle he’s referring to is a semi-automatic rifle that’s made to look like the famous M16. It isn’t an automatic rifle. His response was simply “really, it’s not an automatic?” He confessed he didn’t know much about guns but he just thought it was an automatic that was capable of shooting hundreds of bullets in a matter of seconds.
The main stream media has so many more resources than we have and its an uphill battle to spread the truth. Many of the Pro-gun supporters that I know and myself included very rarely discuss firearms; it’s like politics and religion. Discussing firearms can quickly go south and most of us do not want to jeopardize working or social relationships, but this could be a perfect opportunity for us every day pro-gun folks to educate those that just don’t know. Kind of sounds like a double edged sword doesn’t it? Dammed if you do, damned if you don’t!
There’s a debate brewing throughout
There’s a debate brewing throughout our country over the right to bear arms, from teachers, doctors to realtors and everyone in between. I for one do not believe this should be a debate. Our second amendment insures us of this right.
Concealed carry applications and permits have skyrocketed over the past couple of years. As a result the gun-control (people-control) groups are blowing a gasket. They want to impose their beliefs and thoughts on firearm owners. We will never rid ourselves of this since it is their right to speak their beliefs under the first amendment. However, they resort to lies and propaganda to sway undecided Americans.
The threats from terrorists to mentally ill will continue no matter what laws are put in place. Do I believe everyone should be armed? Of course not! I believe anyone that wishes to be armed should be! Individuals that want to be armed will in fact seek out training. They will want to further their abilities. Firearm enthusiasts are hunters, target shooters, competitors and Americans. I and my wife have spent thousands over the years bettering our abilities. Are we forced to spend our hard earned income on training? Absolutely NOT? It is our passion, our hobby, our way of life. We promote. We teach. We train. We shoot. We do not force our thoughts on others, so why do gun haters push their thoughts and beliefs on us!
The right to carry is our right, if you choose not to carry that is your right. It’s not a privilege and you cannot take our rights away. We will fight to preserve our rights granted to us when this nation was formed.
